I’ve finished painting the dragonfly carvings! 😊 I experimented with the background colours a little and opted for the dark. I think the colours really pop. I’m happy to say the large carving in the middle and the dragonfly with cattails are both sold. Been playing with my knives and ended up with this range of low to high relief dragonfly carvings. I really had a lot of fun with these! Made me feel summery☺️☀️ The largest carving is my interpretation of a bugs eye view of the busy forest floor. Thought I would add a little colour to the midwinter view with this group of windowsill owls😊. I had so much fun with these! As you can see “Love” is the theme so they work for Valentine’s Day or simply “just because”. The carvings in the second picture can be personalized with first initials.
